Babylon Pro (http://www.babylon.com/)

Nice multilanguage dictionary, but only for quick translations. Babylon cant translate more than one word :) Ctrl+RMB click on word - translate it for you

Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/)

Best online dictionary by Google! You can translate many languages (including russian) and also possible to translate web pages.

may be you know something better? tell me ;)

I think, that the best dictionary is your own head. For PPC I like to use Partner Dictionary.

Dreick
05.05.2007, 23:49
I usually use Lingvo or QDictionary (small programm which translates by navigating mouse on the word;
it monitors the clipboard; in any program, a simple copy of the word to the clipboard using "Copy" command will have as effect the automatic search of the word in the dictionary.)

I am using Abby Lingvo 12, and online dictionary at lingvo.ru. The best thing about AL 12 is that it has many options, and about million words and phrases. The best options I like is that, when you surf through the internet, any word you navigate on, AL 12 will show the translation of that word. I can even understand Turkish and French sites. The good thing about lingvo.ru is that it has 5 different languages and similar options as AL 12.

Yeah, Lingvo is really the best program to translate =) It is helpful in the cases when you need just to know only one word or phrase. Using other programs such as Magic Guddy, Promt, Socrat you would get only stupid but funny result =)

To my mind the best dictationary is PROMT ver. 7.0 or higher....at the same time it's good translator of ru-eng , eng-ru , texts and it has many other cool functions...

By the way QDictionary is cool de-ru , eng-ru dictationary...you can download it here (http://www.soft.join.com.ua/progs/2629.zip)
or here (http://www.anplex.ru/qd-enrus.zip)
:)

Mr. P.S.
09.01.2008, 20:05
I completely agree with xxChaoSxx and I consider that PROMT the best translator RUS>ENG>RUS though also it is possible to install and following language pairs:
RUS>ENG>RUS
RUS>GER>RUS
RUS>FRE>RUS
ITA>RUS
RUS>ESP>RUS

Try to use ABBYY Lingvo 12 dictionary. If you can't find a word you need in other dictionaries, just try to look up in Lingvo and you'll find it. Also it has computer dictionary which won't just help you to translate but will also explain what it is. By the way, it has Collins English-English dictionary.
